1) What type\u00a0of leather do you use? What are the\u00a0beneficial properties?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vagarant Traveler leather products\u00a0are known to be made from premium oil tanned\u00a0full grain\u00a0cowhide\u00a0leather. Full grain leather is a type of leather that\u00a0has been minimally processed and so retains\u00a0the hide’s original texture and natural markings. That being said, full grain leather is among the best quality leather available. Only hides\u00a0that have few blemishes are\u00a0selected for making\u00a0full grain leather.<\/em><\/p>\n

Full grain leather is desirable\u00a0due to the minimal treatment it receives, which results in exceptional durability and “the most breathable leather a person can wear” (quoted from\u00a0http:\/\/www.wisegeek.com\/what-is-full-grain-leather.htm<\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n

Leathers used in our products are vegetable tanned and treated with a blend of natural oils, fat liquors and dyes.\u00a0The color is struck through the entire thickness. The resulting oil tanned leather has a supple feel and is better able to withstand the elements. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Because it\u00a0takes the entire grain of hide instead of just under-layers, full grain leather\u00a0is much thicker than other types of leather \u00a0(look at our bags!). With our quality full grain leather products, you may find\u00a0the need to gradually “break in” before they\u00a0get\u00a0more comfortable to use. And best of all, they\u00a0do look and feel better the longer you use them.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

2) How to care for my leather?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regular cleaning and care for your leather\u00a0will not only help maintain\u00a0its great look, but also will extend the useful life of your\u00a0leather.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

For everyday\u00a0dirt, simply use a water-dampened cloth to wipe clean (apply a small amount of saddle soap or a gentle\u00a0cleaner if necessary). Don’t get the leather too wet, dry it thoroughly when you’re done.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

To restore suppleness to\u00a0your leather and retain its natural oils, apply a conditioner or protector specifically formulated for leather products\u00a0occasionally. Apply with a soft cloth using a gentle circular motion.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

3) How often should I condition my leather?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It depends largely on how you use your leather bag and the weather conditions:<\/em><\/p>\n

If you live in\u00a0dry, arid climates like the winters in Nevada, Arizona or Minnesota, the harsh\u00a0environments can\u00a0leach away\u00a0the oils and waxes that naturally protect your leather, leaving it susceptible to cracking and damages.\u00a0 You\u00a0will need to apply a professional leather conditioner<\/a> at least every 4-6 months.<\/em><\/p>\n

In wet climates like Seattle or during the rainy winters in San Francisco, you will want to\u00a0protect your leather\u00a0from moist environments by\u00a0using a spray protectant or applying a beeswax cream designed specifically for leather every 3-4 months.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

For people living in hot, humid climates like in Florida or South Asia, mold and mildew growth is the biggest concern.\u00a0It is a good idea to\u00a0air your bag once every two weeks to halt the growth of mold. You will also want to clean the leather with a\u00a0leather cleaner and conditioner<\/a>\u00a0every 4-6 months.<\/em><\/p>\n

4) Does your leather goods come with a warranty and how long is it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We accept a variety of payment methods, including all major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, money order\/cashier check. Any item shipped to Florida will be charged a sales tax, as required by law.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

6)\u00a0Is payment secure on Vagarant Traveler website?<\/strong><\/p>\n

100% secure!. We do not save any buyer’s confidential financial information. Your payment will go through either Paypal or stripe.com. They are professional credit card processing company. After successful payment, we can only see your shipping address. You can even save the credit card information when you make stripe payment gateway purchase so next time you do not need to type card number again. 7) What are the shipment options? How are the shipping rates determined?<\/strong><\/p>\n

For orders shipped within the U.S., we use FedEx Ground (default), first class\u00a0mail and priority mail. For international orders, we use\u00a0USPS Priority International Mail. \u00a0The shipping costs are based on the USPS \/ FedEx shipping rate and the package weight.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Express shipping options are available upon request for both domestic and international orders. Simply contact\u00a0us at\u00a0contact@vagarant.com once your order has been placed. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

If you live outside the United States,\u00a0any customs\/duties\/taxes from\u00a0your\u00a0country, which are not included in shipping charges, must be paid by you upon receipt of your package.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

After your order has been shipped, you will receive the\u00a0tracking number for your package\u00a0in your email. 9) How to make a return or exchange?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your satisfaction with our product is our pursuit. You may have noticed that we didn’t label any of our products as either `men’s` or `women’s`. The majority of our products (except for some items in the shoulder\/handbag category<\/a> such as this<\/a> and this<\/a>) are gender neutral, meaning they can be worn by both men and women. Though our heavy duty leather briefcase<\/a> and backpacks<\/a> are\u00a0primarily men’s favorites, some ladies also fall for the rugged style and end up carrying one. At Vagarant Traveler, we believe function should not be limited by form. If you find a bag that serves your purpose and fits your style, go ahead and get it!<\/em><\/p>\n
